The character designs were attractive and the artwork was okay, except that the illustrator seemed to have trouble with feet/shoes and horses. This volume just sets the stage for future drama and I will definitely be following this story. Also, can we talk about her adultish response to "God" when it was making her go to Othel. So you have a quiet café and a showdown in the offing between somebody who doesn't want to save the world and somebody who wants to just bend it to her selfish whims. With regards to plot and climax, the last chapter of the book introduced the first "challenge" our heroine will face, and the general concept of how she can overcome it. Simple story but still amusing. In this charming tale, a woman gets transported to a fantasy world and pursues her own quest: opening a book cafe! It's really short, around 8 chapters, but the characters are really sweet and nice. I love the premise of this so much! When she arrives in the strange new land, she decides to use her magical powers to create a cozy little book cafe instead. Now with the ability to control over water at will, Souma vows to exact revenge and eradicate summoning magic from this world. I'm in my bookstore and tea era, and I'm all about it. Both mc's are transferred to another world and have magical powers. I can't believe I didn't pick this up sooner! Absolutely yes, I want to sit down and read a book about a 33-year-old woman who doesn't want to go to a fantasy world to become it's Savior because she wants to stay at home and read but goes anyways to open up a book cafe in the middle of nowhere so she can read and sip tea and only intervene when absolutely necessary in this fantasy world. An FMC in her 30s is so refreshing, the set up is clever, and the developing relationship with the Captain is so sweet. As a bookish thirty-something, she has zero desire to go on some big adventure. She's over 30, feels that starting over in a new world is too troublesome at this point in her life, doesn't want the work of being a "hero" since that's a job for young folks, and dreams of owning a book cafe. I NEED THE NEXT BOOK NOW!!! I love the character Il, the royal guard she meets. The romance Nothing terribly exciting or interesting so far, but I did enjoy Il's seriousness and slight awkwardness, especially when Beorc entered the picture and caused a little trouble.
